Inspired by the early astronomical drawings of Etienne Trouvel and the unrealized architectural design of the Cenotaph a Newton by Etienne-Louis Boule. Meant to be seen as looking through both a telescope and microscope at a newly discovered world, where the laws of nature are still unknown to us. Three 4x5 negatives blended with chemistry to create one image. The photos taken were of Lake Ontario, a night sky, and clouds from an airplane. They were all blended onto one sheet of BW film using various painting techniques, and textures were created overtop to create atmosphere.
