"In 1986 a journey to India took me by storm.
I fell in love with that country and photography.
Since then taking pictures and making prints in the darkroom are my life.
I am now between Los Angeles and Paris keeping up with my obsessions. Memories and Traces.
I hope you enjoy the body of work."
-Guillaume Zuili
Born in 1965 in Paris, he is now an American citizen and lives in Los Angeles, California since 2002. From 1986 to 1995 he worked in India and had his first book published about the City of Pondichery and the French settlements. A large part of his work then focused on the complexity of European cities throughout history (1996-), and by using the double-exposure technique in Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Prague and Lisbon. Today his obsession is about the “American Myth” and uses different approaches and techniques. “LA Smoke & Mirrors”, “LA Chromo”, “Harbor City” and now “Urban Jungle” all explores symbols and collective memories through the urban landscape.
