EYES ON LA: Guillaume Zuili

"Zuili’s work often delves into the layered histories of urban environments, blending architectural elements with temporal shifts to create images that are both nostalgic and contemporary. His technique involves intentional layering of exposures, resulting in photographs that challenge conventional perspectives and invite viewers to experience familiar cityscapes in new ways."

In EYES ON LA, French-American fine art photographer Guillaume Zuili turns his distinctive lens toward the layered urban landscape of Los Angeles. Known for his mastery of in-camera double exposures and analog techniques, Zuili captures the city not as a static place, but as a living, shifting organism.

This exhibition showcases Zuili’s refined eye for architectural lines—angles, edges, and forms that define the city’s built environment. Through his use of composition and light, he transforms mundane structures into poetic abstractions. Zuili’s work explores the interplay of memory and modernity, revealing the beauty hidden in overlooked corners and aging facades.

His use of lith printing enhances the tactile quality of each piece, merging past and present in a single frame. EYES ON LA invites viewers to experience Los Angeles through a new lens—one that captures its contradictions, its grit, and its surreal elegance with haunting precision.
